Little Klassen Family: Family portraiture, Rocky Point Park, Port Moody BC

I’ve found that getting family photos taken gets more important the more kids you bring into your family.  I know it took me over a year to get my family properly photographed (oh my goodness. What kind of photographer am I?!), and now that we are adding to our family, I feel more and more compelled to get more and more photos taken of us together as a family of three before we become a family of four.

I think Adrienne felt the same way.  She has a gorgeous little girl, Arielle, with husby Brad, and they are expecting their second this coming September.  They really wanted to get some photos of them as a family of three, and especially some just of Arielle before the baby comes.  Wow.  Yeah, I am feeling all of those things (oddly enough, Adrienne’s due date and mine are 2 days apart).

And what a gorgeous little family they have.  This little lady Arielle knows how to move!  For a 15 month old, this girly can get around like nobodies business!  Wow!  We spent the hour following her lead to here and to there and taking in the smell of the flowers nearby and pointing out every dog, duck and plane we saw.  She was such a sweet little lady, continually looking right at me saying “hi!” and then toddling off to the next interesting thing.  One seriously cute kiddo.

I love taking family portraits, especially at such a pivotal moment, as things are just about to change for their family, all for the better.  l am so excited for this new little baby girl to be welcomed by this energetic big sister who is going to show her all of her best tricks  And oh-my-goodness.  Baby #2 is going to be a cute one. I can just tell.

Thanks for letting me capture this special time in your lives!  I really did have such a fun time getting to know you all a little.  Can’t wait to hear about #2
